A 24-hour self-service rental station will help you rent a space or make a payment anytime you are ready.  You can rent with credit card, check or cash and will receive a lock, keys and gate code.  If you would prefer,  our on-site manager will also assist you. 

And when you rent from us, a 14-foot moving van with Air conditioning, easy load ramp, and automatic transmission is available for you to move your belongings  -- free of charge**.

The "Kissing Bridge"

Did you know that covered bridges were often called kissing bridges?  Folks ventured across them in horse drawn buggies, sought shelter from rain beneath their protective covering, and sometimes they became a haven for a young lovers first kiss.  Covered bridges were also built to look like barns so that livestock would enter and cross the water willingly.

 

Although an increasingly rare sight to behold,  more than 10,000 covered bridges were built in the U.S. by 1885.  Those that still remain are treasured for their rustic charm, and many serve as prominent historical landmarks. 

 

Early bridges were often made of wood and tended to deteriorate quickly.  Covering them protected their structure and extended their life up to 80 years or more.
